TA - TANF: The applicant or member of the applicant's family is receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) as of the date of the application.
 
RF - Refugee Assistance: The Applicant or a member of the applicant's family is receiving Refugee Assistance payments as of the date of the application. (Refugee Assistance Act is Public Law 96-212).
 
GA - General Assistance: Applicant or a member of the applicant's family is receiving state or local cash assistance (other than TANF or Refugee Assistance) as of the date of the application.
 
SS - Supplemental Security Income (SSI-SSA): Applicant or a member of the applicant's family is receiving payments as of the date of the application. (SSI is Supplemental Security Income for the Aged, Blind, and disabled under the Social Security Act, Title XVI).
 
IN - Income: Applicant is a member of a family which has received a total family income for the six-month period prior to application, in relation to family size and location, that did not exceed either:
   
1.    The official poverty income guideline defined by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and revised annually in accordance with section 673 (2) of the Omnibus Budget Reconcilliation Act of 1981 (42 U.S.C. 9902 (2); or
   
2.   70 percent of the Lower Living Standard Income Level, whichever is higher.
 
FS - Food Stamps: Applicant is a member of a household that receives (or has been determined with the 6-month period prior to registration for the program to be eligible to receive) Food Stamps pursuant to the Food Stamp Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 2011 et eeq.).
 
HM - Homeless/Runaway: A homeless individual is a homeless child or youth (as defined in section 725(2) of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 11434a(2), runaway.
 
FC - Foster Child: An individual in foster care or has aged out of the foster care system, a child eligible for assistance under section 477 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 677), in an out-of-home placement, or an individual who has attained 16 years of age and left foster care for kinship guardianship or adoption.
 
ID - Individual with a Disability: Applicant is an individual who meets the requirements of either the Poverty Income Guidelines or the Lower Living Standard Income Level, but who is a member of a family which does not meet such requirements.
 
FL - Free Lunch: Receives or is eligible to receive a free or reduced price lunch under the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1751 et seq.)
 
HP - High Poverty:

used with respect to an individual, also includes a youth living in a high-poverty area. See Attachment 14: Youth in Poverty Interactive Map for instructions regarding accessing and using this map to determine youth program low income eligibility.

 
NA - Not Applicable: Applicant is an out-of-school youth and income requirements do not apply
 
FW - Five Percent Window: Applicant is a youth who does not meet the income guidelines but falls within one or more of the following categories:
 
    OUT-OF-SCHOOL YOUTH (either of the following):
  1. Has diploma or GED, is low income, but is basic skills deficient or an English Language Learner
  2. Is low income and requires additional assistance
IN-SCHOOL YOUTH (any category):
  1. Basic Skills Deficient
  2. English Language Learner
  3. Offender
  4. Homeless
  5. Pregnant or Parenting
  6. Requires additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure or hold employment
 
 
CA - CCAP: The applicant or a member of the applicant's family is receiving assistance from the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program as of the date of application.
 
LP - LEAP: The applicant or a member of the applicant's family is receiving or has received assistance from the Colorado Low Income Energy Assistance Program within the last twelve months.
 
SE - Sec 8 Housing: The applicant or a member of the applicant's family is receiving or has received assistance from the Colorado Section 8 Housing Voucher Program as of the date of the application.
