Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office will NOT send candidates to a P.O.S.T.
Academy (Police Academy) for THIS position. You MUST be Colorado P.O.S.T.
Certified by July 7, 2025, to be eligible for this position.
All candidates hired for this academy will receive a $1,500.00 sign on
bonus, plus up to $800.00 a month for childcare reimbursement during
initial training while grant funds are available* (*conditions apply).
This is an appointed position that works at the pleasure of the Sheriff. This
position is responsible for performing a variety of complex law enforcement
duties. This position enforces Federal and State laws and County ordinances
for the protection of life, health, safety, welfare and property. This
position works under the general supervision of a Sergeant.
