POSITION:
Western Colorado University invites applications for a non-tenure-track,
full-time faculty position in the area of Music Industry and Guitar. Teaching
responsibilities include courses in Music Technology & Production (recording
arts, live sound, music production, etc.), guitar lessons, general education
music courses, and developing and teaching new courses in Music Business.
Other courses may be included in the teaching load based on need and
qualifications. The successful candidate will teach a 15-credit load each
semester with the potential for a reduced load and reassigned time to
supervise the Quigley Records studio, engage with recruitment activities
and/or other departmental priorities. Quigley Hall has a modern recording
studio with three tracking rooms, a large selection of quality audio
equipment, and a music technology lab for teaching. A strong commitment to
effective teaching is expected.
